With its latest commercial featuring a monkey dressed like Evel Knievel, automobile company Dodge has landed within firing range of PETA. A spokesperson from PETA stated that "given the well-documented abuse that young chimpanzees and orangutans suffer in the entertainment industry... Dodge isn't going to dodge a bullet on this one. It needs to pull the ad — and we've contacted the company asking it to do just that."

In an effort to appease the PETA (and ensure their sales do not drop in the event of protest), Dodge pulled a truly ingenious move. They removed the monkey from their ad and replaced it with... well, nothing! Take a look below and see for yourself:
As you can see, Dodge pulled off a move that is impressive in that the image resonates even more within consumers' minds. Dodge managed to alter their commercial without spending too much money, and they were able to make the commercial still make sense (maybe even more so than before?). In any case, hats off to Dodge for their brilliant maneuver.
