So I was wasting away my life in front of youtube yet again when I ran into something that intrigued me much more than expected. Now, we all know that the Chinese are known for their gymnastics, but trust me, you don't have a clue. This video is amazing! I've seen multiple Cirque du Soleil shows and nothing really comes close to the feats achieved by the Chinese here. Sure, Cirque du Soleil is more artistic and elegant, but the sheer beauty of human accomplishment is truly something to be revered here. Take a look below! Who Needs Friends Like Facebook? Not me. Why Mark Zuckerberg and his social network should stop invading our privacy. (I did not write this article. I was surfing the internet and ran across it. I thought I would share since it is something I feel everyone should understand). Mark Zuckerberg won’t say he’s sorry, but the 26-year-old CEO and founder of Facebook does promise to change his ways—a little. His nonapology came after weeks of outrage over Facebook’s recent changes to its privacy (actually, antiprivacy) policy, and was delivered in the form of an op-ed in The Washington Post. In his essay, Zuckerberg put on his best innocent-little-boy voice and claimed Facebook only changed its policies in order to help people share more information, because “a world that’s more open and connected is a better world.” In addition to that bit of risible rubbish, Zuckerberg also said Facebook intends to amend its privacy policy to address complaints. I doubt these changes will be substantive, but even if they are, as far as I’m concerned, it’s too little too late. Read the full article on Newsweek's site here. Also, check out something I'm VERY excited about: It's called Diaspora, and it promises to offer exactly what every facebook user really needs - significant and adaptable privacy controls. Check out diaspora here! Finally, check out the new teaser trailer just released for the upcoming film about facebook and it's founder. It's called "The Social Network," and it's set to come out in October, so keep your eyes peeled. Are you the man with the Golden gun? Can you stand tall and defeat all your enemies before they blast you away with AK-47s? Will you live up to the name of James Bond? Sound alot like the N64s Goldeneye game? Well, that's because it is! Except, it's not. Nintendo has announced that it will revamp the game and release it for the Wii this November. Keeping the content intact and introducing a couple new things like a Daniel Craig Bond, and other minor extras will be sure to have both hardcore fans and casual fans teeming with joy as the game promises to be even more fulfilling with an updated multiplayer mode. Take a look at the trailer below, and enjoy! E3 (or the Electronic Entertainment Expo) is underway, and there are some exciting things coming for the video gaming industry.
Sony and Microsoft show off their new motion sensing controllers, and the 360's new Project Natal is making quite the buzz. Nintendo, on the other hand, is creating its own buzz for the new vitality system of which no one is really sure what it's functions and capabilities are. Nintendo is also set to show off a new Zelda and Metroid game with motion control. Likewise, the 360's Halo Reach is getting a lot of attention as the game will be the biggest software player for Microsoft this gaming season. Sony is not left out of the picture, either, as it is going full steam at restarting the Medal of Honor franchise. Normally, each company would be ready to show off its next gen console if tradition was anything to go by. However, it's software improvements that takes the show this year at E3. Some exciting new games to look out for: Halo Reach Call of Duty: Black Ops Gears of War 3 Metal Gear Solid: Rising Medal of Honor Killzone 3 Gran Turismo 5 The Force Unleashed II Rock Band 3 Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light Dragon Quest IX GT Countdown Star Wars: The Old Republic Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood E3 runs until the 17th, so there should be a lot more exciting news on the way soon! This may be old news to some of you, but NBC has decided to take out Parks and Recreation from its prime slot to move in a new sitcom about an outsourced call center in India. The show is based off of a 2006 film by the same name. The premise of both the film and show is about a white man reluctantly moving to India in order to head a call center there while working with some very quirky and quite strange employees. I'm not banking on this show to last more than two seasons, though, as the trailer seems just a bit too simple in its form of crude and kindergarten humor. The film was genuinely humorous, but the show seems to be lacking some of that spark. Here's to hoping NBC's Parks and Recreation replacement has the stuff to become something good. |
